At a presentation to MINEX Europe 2019 on 25-27 June 2019 in Sofia, Bulgaria, Niel will reveal Hitachi’s strategy for incorporating advanced predictive analysis and machine learning into a wholesale end-to-end technology solution for the mining industry. Using examples from mines currently in operation, his presentation will showcase the processes used by mines in leveraging business intelligence platforms and advanced analytics to improve operational performance and to predictively reduce operating costs. Niel has been involved in a variety of technologies for the past 15 years and has extensive experience in production and technical services orientated mining technologies for applications like geology, geotechnical, fleet management and surveying.
