Todd Houlahan

Todd graduated from the University of Newcastle, Australia in 1993 with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental) before working for 7 years in the environmental consulting industry in Australia and the UK. From 2000-2004, he worked in Australia using handheld XRF as a consultant, a contractor and in sales capacities on multiple contamination projects before being drawn into the minerals sector with the technology. He is currently Director of International Mining at Olympus and is based in the UK. He has worked extensively with mining and exploration companies in Eastern and Southern Europe for the past 15 years.

Case Studies – Innovative Use of Portable XRF in Southern and Eastern Europe

This talk will bring together user case studies of how portable XRF (pXRF) has been used to advance mineral exploration and mining projects in Southern and Eastern Europe. The talk will present examples from early stage exploration, drilling and in-mine applications which demonstrate the productivity improvements that pXRF technology brings to the entire mining value chain.
